If the name itself doesn’t convince you to prepare your corn this way, I can assure you that this mind blowing technique will! It is your typical technique of boiling corn, but not just in water, also with added flavor: milk, butter, spices and syrup. Doing it this way ensures every nook and cranny is coated with the sweet, buttery flavor. When you’re ready to serve, garnish it with some extra spice and everything nice, plus some greens and your corn instantly just got the best facelift you will ever see!
This is one of those recipes that checks all of the boxes and makes you feel completely satisfied. It is easy, it requires minimal ingredients and pantry staples, odds are you have all of these ingredients in your kitchen already! Plus, it is quick and astonishingly tasty. It is sure to impress your guests at a bbq this season or your family when gathered around the dinner table. I love corn and this recipe definitely hits the spot.
In this recipe I utilized korean gouchujang chili flakes, to give it a little bit of spice and a slight kick. I was able to source these easily at Whole Foods, I wanted a slight asian twist on this dish given that I am part asian and I love asIan flavors. The brand I used is: Mother In Law’s. If you would like to substitute for red pepper flakes you absolutely can, however it will make it spicer.
