I am a food blogger, photographer, stylist and all around food and beverage loving gal enjoying life living in a big city. I started Pretty Plate in 2020 during one of the toughest times, the worldwide pandemic. What was once a negative situation, turned into Pretty Plate LLC.
I am from the wonderful Windy City of Chicago. But, I currently reside in the Phoenix, Arizona Area. I graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and I have been in the hospitality industry for over a decade. Between working in Events, Catering, Restaurants, Bars and Hotels I put all of my knowledge together to share with all of you! I am here to be your helping hand through the recipes I share, my food photography, food styling presentations and event needs.
Throughout the years, I found that sharing the things you create from what was once just a vision, can really inspire people and that is what I am here to do, inspire you!
Here at Pretty Plate you can expect a variety of foods that is gauranteed to put you in a good mood. So, whether your go to is: comfort foods, plant based meals, sweets or international cuisine I do it all. My goal is to show you that all foods can be considered good mood foods depending on how you feel and what you‘re in the mood for. I like being able to keep my options open because it’s all about balance, right? So, I am sure you do too!
Another component on what to expect here at Pretty Plate, are easy to follow delicious recipes. Cooking can be intimidating and I want to show you that if I can do it in the comfort of my own home, so can you! I provide step by step photos and videos for each recipe that guide you along the way and put you at ease during the process. These recipes take the stress out of at home cooking.
My inspiration for all of these recipes comes from places I have been, people that inspire me and friends and family that motivate me. This is a place where I can express myself, be myself and encourage others to try something new. So, I hope Pretty Plate helps you in one way or another whether it’s gaining confidence in the kitchen, learning a thing or two here and there or provided a meal when you’re in need.
Now, let’s get cooking. I can’t wait to see all of your Pretty Plates!
