Boiled King Crab Legs with Three Different Dipping Sauces

These King Crab Legs are meaty, flavorful and easily get cooked in under 10 minutes! Whether you are treating your loved one or yourself this Valentine’s Day one way or another you still need to stuff your face with goodies, so why not make it extra special with a meal such as this.

Valentine’s Day is one of the most anticipated holiday’s of the year. Some of us love love, while others dread it. Whether you have love in your life, you are single and mingling or you opt for a Galentine’s Day...you still gotta eat. Treat your loved one or yourself to this perfect catch. A meal that looks impressive, tastes impressive, yet takes little to no time to make!

King Crab Legs is hands down my favorite food ever. It also so happens to be my Honey Boo Boo‘s (eh, I mean my Husband’s) favorite as well. So, our ideal stay at home Valentine‘s day would consist of us popping open our favorite vino, getting messy and cracking some crab in front of the TV with our favorite show or putting on some of our favorite tunes and enjoying each other company. If you’ve ever seen How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, their first date ever is cracking crab legs at a NY restaurant. There is something about cracking crab legs and indulging in this messy finger foods that screams romantic.

I wanted to provide all of the flavors with this one. You get to essentially ”pick your poison“ when to comes to the dipping sauces. They make this meal more fun. Speaking of fun, this meal is already so fun to eat with the cracking, tearing and poking because when its all said and done, all of that work makes your meal that much more rewarding in the end. Plus, while all of that is going on, it leaves more room for conversation, so you aren’t just inhaling your meal.

Okay, back to the sauces...typically king crab legs get paired with a simple butter sauce. If you know me, I don’t do simple. I wanted to amp it up and create a variety so you can change up the flavor profile every so often while enjoying this meal.

I paired the crab with a garlic herb butter sauce to keep the simplicity, however I also added in a chili butter sauce for that Asian flare because I of course need to include an Asian aspect somehow. Last, I always found that a seafood italian dish are always so tasty. So, dipping it into an Alfredo sauce is like consuming a seafood alfredo pasta dish, minus the noodles.

  • 1/4 TSP black pepper
  • Few sprinkles of dried parsley
